Overview

BookJack collects limited analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve playback reliability and performance. We do not sell your data.

Data We Collect

App Usage (Analytics): Anonymized events such as app launches, screen views, playback start/stop/completion, speed changes, chapter navigation, and feature usage. We include the audio file name (basename only, no file path) and limited technical details (file format/length).

Diagnostics & Performance: Crash reports, error logs, load times, device model, iOS version, and app version.

What We Don't Collect

  • No account registration, name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or full file paths
  • No advertising identifiers (IDFA) and no third-party ad tracking

How We Use Data

  • To monitor app stability and performance
  • To understand which features are used and improve BookJack
  • To detect and fix errors

Data Sharing

We use Google Firebase (Analytics and/or Crashlytics) as our analytics and crash reporting provider. Firebase acts as our processor. Learn more about Firebase privacy

Retention

Analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase per their standard policies. We do not maintain separate personal profiles.

Your Choices

You can limit analytics by disabling "Share iPhone Analytics" at the OS level, and you may request deletion of Firebase-associated analytics for your device by contacting us.

Children

BookJack is not directed to children under 13.
